Issue description
Written by Jay Ju. Illustrated by Leonel Castellani.
"In a time before the atomic age, an ancient monster with more destructive power than anything seen before in the world, is owned and controlled by an innocent little boy." In Ancient Egypt, centuries before the birth of Christ, the Pharaohs once controlled a mythical beast to destroy the armies and cities of their enemies. The beast, a large lion with wings and breath of fire, may be awoken once, every hundred years. It is now 1940 in New York in the middle of World War II and this same monster, after centuries of being forgotten, has been unleashed upon the world. But now, an innocent, little 10 year old boy, named David, controls the mighty monster as if it were his pet. Hot on their trail are Secret Nazi Agents sent out to harness this great power of the beast and to change the tide of the war. The one who controls the boy, David, controls the beast, named Goliath.
This issue: New York City during World War II. William Hart tries to send an urgent message to his children to warn them of the danger that is headed their way, but is attacked by a Nazi Agent named Nichila. She is in search of a mysterious artifact, a medallion, that has been sent to William's young son David and his older sister Sarah. The medallion holds an ultimate power that Hitler himself wishes to harness. When the medallion arrives, David a small, lonely, bullied, but adventurous little boy, unknowingly unleashes an ancient monster with immeasurable powers. Now magically bonded to the mystical lion, David takes the mighty monster for a joyride and gets into mischief. Meanwhile, the deadly Nazi Agent Nichila brutally makes her way to New York to capture David and Goliath for the Glory of her leader, so they can rule the world.
