Mr. Burns asks Homer to break some bad news to the employees of the nuclear power plant, and his sensitive and sympathetic approach leads Homer into a whole new career. Homer’s new line of work makes him a “bad news” pariah, and no one will go near him for fear that he has become a harbinger of doom and gloom.
