Ever since all The City's heroes have moved to Blissburg, The Tick has been swamped with crimefighting duties! Barely able to keep up with the workload, he decides to recruit a group of Second World War veteran retired heroes to help. But the "Greatest Generation" do-gooders are more interested in the local diner's "Early Bird Special" than in confronting dangerous beercan-throwing baddies! Meanwhile, over in Blissburg, Arthur stumbles into herodom when he disarms a bomb-wielding publicity-seeking maniac in a TV studio — despite his best efforts to avoid mayhem and danger.
