The Kashii, the third Katori-class training cruiser, was completed as a training ship and served as a convoy escort during wartime. Aoshima's 1/700-scale "Waterline" model kit of the Kashii features parts that are simple and easy to assemble, with only the essential parts included. Newly designed equipment such as twin machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, and aircraft catapults have been added. The parts are slide-molded for precision and accuracy, and the outfitting parts are newly molded.
