Are you interested in an excellent combat game set within Middle Earth with miniatures, dice, and a great community? Welcome to the Atomic Empire MESBG Fall League 2024!

Fall 2024 League:

Think back to those tiny engagements in the Lord of the Rings…The Barrow Wights. Weathertop... the lighting of the beacons...the orcs and uruk-hai fighting over Merry and Pippin. We will be playing a series of engagements where players bring small forces to fight tight battles.

First time player?:

No worries! We have a friendly community that can help you get started! This league is especially designed for a player just starting out.

Details for games:

Games will be played as 1 v 1 with 11 games in total, on an approximately 2x2 board. There are a couple of Bye weeks that can also be used for pickup games or catch up. If we have 8 or more players, we will have a couple of doubles weeks!!

Each week, by Monday night, pairings and Missions will be announced for players each week. Some weeks will be specific missions, others will be pick-off from a particular pool. There will be a number of special rules and modifications to scenarios as we go. Players will bring their own army list each week, and may change it freely according to army construction rules.

Tuesdays will be the official game night, but players can schedule on other days as needed to make up games. Results are due on Sunday at 6 pm.

Players must submit their faction before Week 1. If a player would like to switch their faction, they will be able to do so freely until game 6. Players are encouraged to play armies new to them!

Table size will be smaller than usual, approximately 24x24 inches, and will be specified by the scenario.

Schedule: Opponents for each week of the event will be arranged by the Campaign Administrator. Communication will be through the Atomic Discord.

There will be prizing for top 3 league points, and, depending on subscription, may be prizing for best 2x2 battle board, sportsmanship and painting

Game Size & Army construction:

For the first 4 weeks (at least): Army composition is 300 points, with no hero over 100 points total cost. Armies must have at least 5 figures. If the list restriction results in you not being able to play your desired army, contact the league organizer. Wide latitude will be given to lists that are thematic, fun, and interesting.

Forge World units ARE allowed. Proxy Units ARE allowed (within reason). Painted armies are NOT required.

Each game will be worth a specific number of league points:

Additionally, there are several ways to acquire additional League points:

1 point (limit 1x / week, total limit 8x/campaign): play a second game against your opponent

1 point (limit 2x / campaign): play a new-to-you faction – this is to encourage you to try new things!

1 point (limit 1x): brand new player to our leagues!

3 points (limit 1x): brings a battle board (size TBA), suitably made for our hobby.
