Table setup
We will be using premade Maps that will be on the table at the start of each round. The terrain on the table will consist of a mix of
Hills ht3
Forests ht9
Impassible Features ht9
Walls/obstacles ht1
Fields ht2
Difficult flat terrain Ht -1 If you are 50% or more inside the area of terrain your height decreases by 1. It does grant cover, (Think of a foxhole) and all other difficult terrain rules for Flat terrain apply. Example - a Horde of Ht 3 ogre warriors advance into the terrain feature and are more than 50% inside of it. They are now considered to be Ht2 for all LoS purposes and are considered to be in cover. If the unit was behind the terrain feature and being shot at, it would not receive cover and still be Ht 3.
We will be using modified book missions. The following missions are the possible ones that will be played during the event, modified based on the scoring system for the event
Pillage
Loot
Push
Plunder
Fool’s Gold
Raze
Smoke And Mirrors
Salt the Earth
Stockpile
Seek and Destroy
Protect and Raze
Compass Points
Please read the Following carefully.
Scoring
Attrition points - At the end of the match each player adds their attrition pointsto their final score for that round based on the total cost of units they each have killed. Use the following table–
0- 250 = 1
255 - 500 = 2
505 - 750 = 3
755- 1000 = 4
1005 - 1250 = 5
1255- 1500= 6
1505-1750 = 7
1755 - 2000 = 8
2005- 2250 = 9
2255- 2300 = 10
-Progressive scoring based on type of mission being played -
Using Objective markers - At the end of each turn starting at the end of turn two, players check for the following conditions, each being worth 1 point- The total number of mission points is capped at 20.
Do you control 1 objective marker?
Do you control 2 or more objective markers?
Do you control more objective markers than your opponent?
Do you control any objective marker on your opponent's half of the board?
Using Loot counters - At the end of each turn starting at turn two, players check for the following conditions, each being worth 1 point- The total number of mission points is capped at 20.
A unit can only score as many loot counters as it has unit strength. Example - a unit strength 2 titan can score at most 2 loot counters.
Do you control 1 loot counter?
Do you control 2 or more loot counters?
Do you control more loot counters than your opponent?
Do you control any Loot counter on your opponent's half of the board?
Using Bluff counters - At the end of each turn starting at end of turn two before any bluff counters are flipped face up, players check for the following conditions, each being worth 1 point- The total number of mission points is capped at 20.
Bluff counters are treated like objective markers for the purposes of controlling and scoring, at all times. When a zero-point counter is revealed, remove it from the table just like you normally would.
Do you control 1 bluff counter?
Do you control any 2-point bluff counter?
Do you control 2 or more bluff counters?
Do you control any bluff counter on your opponent's half of the board?
In this event you will be using 1 cryptid in each of your games throughout the tournament. This will be supplied by you. Once you pick your cryptid you will use the same model throughout the tournament, no swapping! For gaming purposes, it is a monster on a 50x50 base with various stats except They all will be HT 3 and US 1 and are able to benefit from any friendly Inspiring/rally auras. In the case of nightstalkers , the cryptid gains the “Mindthirst” special rule.
