Planetary Qualifiers are the only store-level events in the Competitive Play circuit. They consist of a single-day event with prizes awarded for both participation and final placement.
Starting with the game’s second set, Planetary Qualifiers will be held at select retailers around the world, and Atomic Empire is proud and excited to have been selected!
Schedule:
- Doors: 9:00 AM
- Check-in: 9 - 9:50 AM
- Round 1: 10:00 AM
- There will be a 60-minute lunch break after the conclusion of Round 2.
Format:
- Premier
- 55-minute, best-of-3, Swiss rounds.
- We expect there to be 7 rounds of Swiss.
- Cut to Top 8
- 75-minute, best-of-3, single elimination rounds.
- Decklists are required.
- Players will need to submit their list on Melee once they are registered in the software, which will be done by the organizer on Monday, May 26.
- Melee has a comprehensive guide on how to build and submit decklists.
- Players will also need to bring a printed copy of their decklist. Cascade has a fillable form; a swudb printout is also acceptable. While Atomic Empire will have blank forms on hand on the day of the event, handwritten lists are discouraged.
- Proofreading your list is highly encouraged, as if it does not match your list submitted on Melee you risk incurring tournament penalties.

Registering and paying with the store is the only way to guarantee your seat at the event. There are 128 seats available, and we expect the event to be at or near capacity, so pre-registration is highly encouraged.
A Melee.gg account is required to participate. You may create one here if you do not already have one.
Your deadline to cancel is Wednesday, May 28 at 12PM EDT in order to receive a full refund, and to allow time for additional players to claim opened spots. After the deadline, no refunds will be issued. Event materials will not be held for players who do not attend.
